This is normal and all DS4 controller have this issue since it is a built in designed feature. It feels something like way too much smoothing/acceleration and has up to 20 frames of input lag which is atrociously bad. Yes, it does work in exactly the same way as the SCs gyros as far as binding is concerned. So, I am going to just say that I can't stand the DS4 or XBONE controllers compared to my Steam Controllers, of which I have 5 now.
